In 2015, designer Simone Lüling founded ELOA, located in Berlin. She designs and coordinates the products with the vision of combining simple design with high standards of craftsmanship. ELOA was born in the development of a commissioned work: a lighting concept was to be developed for a loft-like space, with which the various functional areas – cooking, eating, working could be defined. In addition, the room as a central place should create different atmospheres that could vary according to time and occasion.
Select from a variety of hand-blown forms, which are one of a kind in shape, size and colour - unique. Solitary or in constellation, the ELOA lights create individual light concepts and associate with star constellations. Each glass piece is named after a star or a planet. They exist as hanging, floor, standing and wall luminaries.
ELOA combines the craft of ancient glassblowing with a simple, yet distinct design. In order to achieve the large size of the glass objects and working without forms, it takes a high level of refined craftsmanship and skill performed by only a few master glassblowers. The spectrum of glass objects ranges from ceiling, floor, table, floor and wall lamps to vases and bowls.
